Introduction: History Department established in 1997.The aims of starting this subject in the college was to impart the knowledge of Ancient, Mediaeval and Modern history of India to the learners, to inculcate national feeling, integrity and harmony among the learner.

Departmental Highlights:

The department arranges every year study tour for the Learner of T.Y.B.A.; Assign the project works, celebration of renowned great personality birth Anniversary and to arrange poster-making competition.etc.

OBJECTIVIES OF HISTORY DEPARTMENT:

1) To Aware the Learner Knowledge of History.

2) To study Great human and humanitarian in India and world.

3) To create a sense of National integration, nationalism among the learner.

4) To impart the knowledge ancient and medieval culture.

5) To visit’s Historical place, which are near and far around the Konkan Region.

6) To know the local Freedom Fighter and their contribution in the freedom struggle of India.

7)To promote Historical skills including the understanding of cultural, social, political, economic and religious upheavals in the past and their relation to the present Condition.

8) To develop learner’s interest in the study of past incident.
